CHILD INJURED IN NON-STOP COLLISION |
||
We are appealing for information and dashcam footage after a child was injured following a collision with a car while on a pedestrian crossing in Tamworth. We were called shortly before 7pm on Saturday (13 September) to Amington Road, near Bolehall fish bar. A 10-year-old child, who had waited for the traffic lights to turn red, had begun to walk on the crossing when they were involved in a collision with a silver car at around 5.50pm. The child suffered minor injuries to their leg in the collision. The car did not stop at the red light, and following the collision, left the scene in the direction of the town centre. The driver is described as a man in his 60s with dark hair. We are appealing to anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant information or dashcam footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 582 of 13 September. To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
